ACTRESS

Stephanie has performed on stage and in films. Initially a stage actress, Ms. Richards Lawrence later made the transition to film. Acting has always been a passion. Stephanie committed to developing her acting skills in college when she was accepted to Averett University in Virginia for Theatre Arts and Speech and English Education. While at Averett, Stephanie also developed technical theatre and stage management experience. Two years later, Stephanie auditioned and was accepted into New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. It was at Tisch and Lee Strasberg that Stephanie blossomed as an actress and a director.

During her senior year at NYU,  Stephanie took on an internship at the Society Hill Playhouse in Olde City Philadelphia, where she taught theatre and improv to high school students, in addition to doing technical theatre on the mainstage productions.

Upon graduation, Stephanie auditioned and was selected to join the Donald Welch (Don B. Welch) Theatre Group in Philadelphia. Stephanie appeared in several Don B. Welch plays including, Change Is Gonna Come, and Idella's Soul Shack,  acting with the legendary, Mary Wilson of the Supremes and Will Smith's father, Willard Carroll Smith, Sr.  Stephanie most recently performed in the award-winning film, M.O.T.H.
